SHANNA SARSIN is a Shreveport, Louisiana native. Her successful military career followed by a just as successful career in executive level positions led Shanna to be sought after as a mentor by young women seeking to establish their professional identities and careers. It was through panel discussions and mentoring relationships that she began sharing her professional navigation techniques. In 2015 she was asked to serve as the Chair of a mentoring youth program for girls from impoverished and unstable homes. It was through this venture that she began sharing her personal journey from humble beginnings in the rural outskirts of Shreveport to a place her five year old mind could only imagine, an office with a view in the NW sector of Washington, D.C. This is when she began to be encouraged to write a book. Realizing her passion for helping others and ability to connect with and inspire widely diverse populations, she decided to take a hand at writing and the result is her debut novel ELEPHANTS, BUNNIES & A HEADLESS GIRAFFE, A Novel released August 2, 2019.

Shanna currently splits her time between Shreveport, Louisiana and Fort Washington, Maryland, and volunteers to promote STEAM, healthy living and financial empowerment.
